One of the joys I find in life is pointing out other peoples mistakes. No, I don’t jump up in their faces and laugh at them in front of their friends. I do it in a far more subtle way… on my anonymous blog!
I am always amazed when local TV stations put misspelled words in their graphics. These are the people we are trusting to give us the facts about what is going on in the world. And yes, I do use the term FACTS quite loosely.
Sometimes it is an honest typo error, I get that, but seriously… you’re a big time news outlet in a relatively large city. Get your shit together!
Two examples of this happened last weekend and they were both on the same channel.
You know me… I had to whip it out (my phone that is) and snap a picture to share with you. I know it’s not easy to see, but it appears someone in the editing room needs to grab a dictionary and look up the word OASIS.
And then the very next day they had this… a breaking news story about the evacuation of one of the terminals at our airport due to suspicious bag. Makes sense, we can’t be too careful these days right? Unless you’re a TV news program. Then do whatever the hell you want.
Like misspell the word TERMINAL. Unless there is something new at the airport I haven’t seen yet… a fancy new TERMIAL. Sounds like a rodent you’d find in the desert or something.
